ROSE
HALL REEF 20 to
40 ft. (7-14 mtr.)
Named after the famous Great House, this shallow reef is teeming
with marine life. At the beginning of the dive, you'll come over a
low profile reef from were a large pillar coral rises to the
surface. It is named "Fairy Castle" by local dive
operators. Moving toward shallower water the reef is divided by
sand channels with coral walls sometimes rising to the surface of
the water.
This type of reef with lots coral overhangs is natural habitat for
snappers, grunts and soldier fish. Sometimes you can encounter
nurse sharks. |

CHUB
REEF
What do you expect to
see at a site named Chub Reef? Bermuda Chubs off course! Plenty of
them, big ones and small ones all waiting for a handout. And lots
of other colorful marine life in just 8 meters (24 feet) of water
and beautiful coral caverns and crevasses at 10 to 12 meters
(30-40 feet). Definitely for "reef- crawling". |

JET
SKI REEF
This is an
artificial reef made out of discarded jet ski's. Now the fish can
enjoy them, and in the near future it will attract a more diverse
marine life. |
THE
POINT
This is a very exciting dive for experienced divers only. The wall
starts at 18 meters (60 feet) and drops to more than 60 meters
(200 feet). With an average current of 1.5 knots visibility is
generally good, and when the current is stronger the boat follows
the divers on their drift along the wall. Sometimes this dive can
be combined with Basket Reef as a drift dive. There is always lots
of fish activity and the wall is adorned with sponges, deep water
gorgonians and black coral. |
WIDOWMAKERS
CAVE
Named after the cave mentioned in James Jones novel "Go to
the widowmaker". The wall starts at 12 meters (40 feet) with
the entrance of the cave in 24 meters (80 feet) where a tunnel
opens in a small cavern.
The exit is through a chimney up to the shallow reef. Sometimes
the dive is done in reverse order with the divers going down the
chimney and leaving the tunnel at the wall. Within the cavern you
can see a school of glassy sweepers and on the edge of the reef
creole wrasses, cero's, barracuda, parrot and other reef fish. Of
course the wall is covered with sponges, deep water gorgonians and
black cora |
